Back to the origin Baad, the mountain village

The road suddenly ends at the foot of the Widderstein. A dead end. But what a dead end. The mountain village of Baad is idyllically situated at the end of the Kleinwalsertal valley. Here, at an altitude of 1,250 metres, you can't go any further by car, only on foot. Numerous hiking trails start here, leading in a star shape in all directions and offering easy access to alpine tours. All without a cable car. Baad probably comes closest to the ideal of an original alpine village. And although it seems remote, it has excellent connections. You can reach mountain railroads and ski resorts in no time at all. The village is perfect for nature lovers and, at the same time, a popular Eldorado for mountain enthusiasts who want to set off on challenging hikes or ski tours.
