Pleasure runs for everyone relaxed ski mountain
The Walmendingerhorn – the mountain with that certain something. The summit in the center of Mittelberg is more than just a ski mountain. Away from the hustle and bustle of the larger ski areas, but still ideally connected. Ideal conditions await you here to unwind and make your turns on panoramic and wide pleasure runs. From the summit, the large Widderstein seems close enough to touch – regardless of whether you are skiing, exploring the summit as a winter hiker or simply lying in a deckchair on the sun terrace. The Walmendingerhorn with its relaxed, almost decelerated atmosphere is sure to win you over very quickly.
The Walmendingerhorn at a glance
With over 15 kilometres of varied downhill runs, you are in the right place if you are looking for a challenge on the predominantly red slopes and also love leisurely forest runs. The valley run down to Mittelberg is 3.3 kilometres long and takes you down into the valley with a view of the Widderstein. For those who are not yet confident on skis, there are four small practice lifts in the valley. Here you can practise your first turns in peace before heading up. The large gondola lift not only takes you quickly to the top, but has been providing breathtaking views on the ride up to almost 2,000 metres since 1966. Two chairlifts await you at the top. If you feel like taking a break, the sun terraces of the six huts and restaurants are the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. The panorama is a bonus on top! And if you want to discover even more, you can easily connect the Walmendingerhorn with the Ifen and Heuberg ski areas. In no time at all, you'll have over 65 kilometres of slopes at your feet and you can take the lift and slopes from Mittelberg to Riezlern and back again.
