Walser culture also has a lot to offer musically: In summer, brass music concerts are held every week, creating a real Alpine atmosphere. An open-air brass music evening that combines tradition and joie de vivre! Groups from Kleinwalsertal and the neighboring Allgäu region will whisk you away into the world of alpine brass music. Experience rousing traditional dances, traditional songs, impressive alphorn sounds and virtuoso performances – from the trumpet duo to the Geiselschnalzern.
After the atmospheric performances, the evening continues with a lively dance to bring the evening to a convivial close. Of course, there will be plenty to eat and drink.

Our local music clubs and bands make the mountains resound with their weekly open-air concerts. Enjoy a vacation in the mountains and improve your alphorn playing skills at the same time? If that sounds like an ideal vacation to you, then you've come to the right place. Play together with other interested alphorn players in the "natural environment" of this fascinating shepherd's instrument. The four-day workshop is aimed at all experienced alphorn players who love traditional alphorn playing, want to learn new things and improve their own tone.
In addition to ensemble playing, the course covers playing methodology, breathing, embouchure, tone formation, literature and instrument-specific features.
Prerequisite: good basic knowledge of alphorn playing or at least six years of brass playing experience.
