Here you will find relaxing paths along babbling brooks, fascinating rock formations and impressive views.

WHAT HAPPENED SO FAR HIRSCHEGG – A LOOK BACK

Hirschegg has a lot to tell. There was already a chapel here in the 16th century, which became the parish church of St. Anna in 1792 and still characterizes the village today. The Heuberg chairlift went into operation in 1950, followed by the Olympic lift on the Ifen in 1961. With further lifts in the 1970s, the ski resort won the hearts of winter sports enthusiasts. But the Ifen Hotel tells the most exciting story. Built in 1936, it was turned into a "luxury prison" by the Gestapo during the Second World War. Prominent prisoners resided here and the hotel offered a curious mix of hospitality and prison. After a few turbulent years, the Ifen Hotel finally experienced its rebirth in 2010 – as the only five-star hotel in Kleinwalsertal.
