The Schwarzwasser cross-country trail is one of the most challenging trails in the valley and is ideal for sporty cross-country skiers. Starting at the sports field in Au, it leads through the idyllic districts of Egg, Ladstatt and Wäldele – always surrounded by beautiful winter scenery and alpine tranquillity.
Five varied circuits await you on around 17 kilometres, including the Egg circuit with 6.8 km, Küren circuit with 3.8 km or the challenging Küren-Wäldele circuit with 7.6 km. Short but sometimes steep climbs and descents make the route particularly appealing.
The Schwarzwasser cross-country trail is groomed exclusively for the classic technique and offers several entry points – ideal for individual tours or training sessions.

The Schwende cross-country trail stretches for around 12 kilometres and offers a variety of routes with magnificent views of the Kleinwalsertal and Oberallgäu mountains. It leads over the Straußberg up to the Hörnlepass inn and back again via Außerwald.
The network of trails is prepared for both classic technique and skating .
The main access point is Gasthof Bergblick, with further access points at Sonnenburg and Gasthof Hörnlepass. The Schwende cross-country trail impresses with its sunny location and varied landscape, ideal for pleasure skiers and those with sporting ambitions.

The Steinbockloipe trail stretches over 14 kilometres and leads from the entrance to Mittelberg via Bödmen to Baad and into the Derratal. It runs in several loops over the Birkenwies, the Gemstelboden and the Wiesele. Thanks to its altitude, it is one of the most snow-sure trails in Kleinwalsertal and impresses with its alpine winter landscape.
The entire network of trails is prepared for the classic technique, while a 9-kilometre section is also suitable for skating .
Entrances are located at Birkenwies, at the Weiher parking lot, in Baad, at the Aparthotel and in Mittelberg/Tobel. The Steinbockloipe trail combines a sporting challenge with impressive nature and is ideal for both classic cross-country skiers and skaters.
