The speciality of the Kleinwalsertal? No matter which means of transport you use to get here - there is only one winding road from Germany to the Austrian exclave. Here you will find all the important information about your journey and local mobility.

arrival by train & bus

For travelers, Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region, 10 km away, is the destination and terminus station.
Direct coaches run from Dortmund (Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn), Hamburg, Munich, Augsburg and Nuremberg.

From there, continue by cab or bus. Cabs wait at the station around the clock. The  Walserbus (terminal directly at the station) runs every 10 or 20 minutes in high season. The journey takes approx. 15 to 40 minutes, depending on where you get off.

Sending your luggage by post in advance is convenient and certainly cheaper than you think! The provider Hermes has an offer for this. Simply enter the German zip code of your accommodation in the address field. These are for Riezlern - 87567, Hirschegg - 87568 and for Mittelberg & Baad - 87569.
