Winter hike from Riezlern to Auenhütte
Tour description
From the Kanzelwandbahn valley station, it goes into the Kurpark and from there briefly steeply up into Eggstraße. Following Eggstraße briefly, the hike then leads left into Kesselschwandweg. Always close to the Schwarzwasserloipe, a prepared winter hiking trail leads variably into the Hirschegg district Au. Sections with beautiful views of the Kleinwalsertal mountains such as Elfer, Zwölfer, Widderstein, and Ifen alternate with sections in snow-covered coniferous forests. At Ferienhof Hammerer in Au, it goes gently but steadily uphill on Wäldelestraße, past Bruder Klaus Chapel, continuing to Oberwäldele. From there again on a prepared winter hiking trail through a forested area and to the Auenhütte.
