7 things to do in Kleinwalsertal in autumn

Autumn

16.10.2016

Colorful foliage - good mood 1. walk through the foliage

The mountains are generally dominated by conifers, but there are also plenty of rustling leaves. Take a look along these paths - you're sure to find a pile of leaves to hop into.

Catching the last rays of sunshine 2. enjoy the sun

A phenomenon that can only be found in the mountains. It is “obheiter”. Almost like cotton candy, the sea of fog lies at your feet while the sun smiles in your face.
So don't be put off if you see fog when you look out of the window in the morning. A few meters further up, it can look completely different. A look at the webcams can help.

Climb another summit! 3. go on an autumn hike

The air is rarely as clear as in the fall. Climb up, take a deep breath and enjoy the view. Another advantage: at this time of year, you'll hardly meet a soul on some paths. You can find numerous hiking suggestions in our tour search.

Simply enjoy! 4. warming up with a hot chocolate

In the afternoon, as soon as the sun has gone, it can get really chilly. The best way to warm up is with a hot chocolate.
An overview of open bars can be found here.

Making the most of the first snow 6. build a snowman earlier

It can get white in the valley in October. It's time to be quick and be the first to build a snowman, as the snow usually disappears very quickly at this time of year.

Be a child again! 7. jumping in puddles

Sure, autumn doesn't just mean sunshine. But as the saying goes: there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes. So put on your wellies, take a running start and jump into the nearest puddle.
