5 refreshing tips for hot summer days
20.07.2022

“36 Grad und es wird noch heißer ...” - these lyrics are from a german song. Pure sunshine and warm temperatures promise feelings of happiness and vacation fun in the mountains. But it's also important to cool down every now and then to relieve the body. So it's a good thing that Kleinwalsertal offers a number of ways to enjoy hot days in cool places.

The first port of call in sunny weather is the outdoor pool in Riezlern. Especially on hot days, the 50-metre-long swimmer's pool and the large children's pool offer a welcome way to cool off. Slides, diving boards and a water mushroom provide an extra dose of fun before you can relax on the spacious sunbathing lawn. Those who prefer a more relaxed approach should try out the bubble loungers.

There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and dip your feet in the cool water along the Breitach. Feel the water flowing between your toes or listen to the chirping of the birds. We recommend a leisurely hike along the Breitach with time for water fun and a break at the Güütschle-Plätzle.

If you want to go on a hike or mountain tour in warm temperatures, you should start as early as possible and plan well. The rule of thumb is that the temperature drops by 1 degree for every 100 m of ascent - but the sun's rays are more intense on the mountain than in the valley. So don't forget sun cream, headgear and plenty to drink!
On particularly hot days, we recommend a hike with plenty of shady spots. An ideal tour, for example, is a hike along the Schwarzwasserbach stream. It's definitely bearable in the shade of the forest!
