Making snow angels, throwing snowballs and hurtling down the slope on a sledge as a reward for the ascent - we all have images like these in our heads when we think back to the snowy winters of our childhood. Welcome to the here and now, welcome to Kleinwalsertal! These five hiking tips will delight children and snow fans who are still children!

1. tour - Winter hiking trail Gottesackerplateau Fantastic views at the Gottesacker

The view of the mighty rocky plateau of the Hoher Ifen and the snow dunes of the Gottesacker with the Allgäu mountains in the background - even little mountain hikers from the age of eight will be speechless! There is plenty of snow up here from January to April and on sunny days you are spoiled by the sun all the way. The kids can walk ahead on the easy, groomed hiking trail and still be in sight. And the children's ears perk up when the legend of the Gottesacker is retold: “The wildly rugged plateau between the Ifen and Gottesacker walls, the so-called Gottesacker, was once a beautiful, grassy alpine pasture where cattle thrived and produced a rich harvest. One day a beggar stopped there for a gift, but was turned away with scorn. Then he cursed the pasture, and lo and behold, an earthquake swallowed it up, storms and downpours swept and washed away the forest and soil, leaving only the bare rock.”
